A PandaDoc alternative that starts from the conversation, not a template.

PandaDoc is a document platform used to create, send and e-sign business documents such as proposals, quotes and contracts, often from templates. OfClause takes a different route: rather than starting with a template, it starts from the WhatsApp chat or email thread where you and the other side already agreed the deal.

Template first vs conversation first

Template-based document tools work well when you know your terms in advance — you pick a template, fill in the details and send it. The document is the starting point, and negotiation happens around it.

Many small-business deals happen the other way round. The negotiation happens first, in messages, and nobody writes a document until later — if at all. OfClause is designed for that situation: it reviews what was said and helps you turn the agreed terms into a record.

What OfClause focuses on

  1. Finding the terms in a pasted conversation, each with its status and source message.
  2. Showing which terms were replaced or rejected, so an outdated price or deadline cannot be selected by mistake.
  3. Flagging missing terms rather than filling them in from a template.
  4. Blocking a draft when the conversation shows no clear agreement.
  5. Guest signing, so the other side does not need an account.

When a template-based document tool may suit you better

If you send many similar proposals or quotes and want branded, designed documents, pricing tables or sales-workflow features, a document platform built around templates may be a better fit. Check each provider's current features against what you need.

OfClause is in private beta and focused on small UK businesses. Its output is a plain agreement record rather than a designed proposal, and it does not offer quoting or sales-pipeline features.

Who OfClause is built for

OfClause is designed for small UK businesses such as freelancers, consultants, agencies and service providers whose deals are often agreed informally, in chats and emails, rather than through a formal proposal process. If that describes how most of your agreements come about, starting from the conversation can save you rewriting the terms by hand, and makes it easier to spot what was never actually agreed.

If your process already starts with a proposal or quote document that the customer accepts, a template-based tool may match the way you work more closely.

Frequently asked questions

Does OfClause create proposals or quotes?
No. OfClause records terms that were already agreed in a conversation and turns them into an agreement record.
Can I use templates in OfClause?
The free NDA generator uses fixed wording. For conversation-based agreements, OfClause drafts only from the terms you confirm.
